Strictly speaking though he is wrong, because the greatest nation on Earth is China, being as "greatest" is a synonym of "largest".
I just saw the speech, and, in all fairness it felt like he was practicing for when he stands in the witness box of a war crimes tribunal in the Hague, though all that Bollox about Britain being blessed etc etc at the end seemed particularly insincere.
