I'm sure I'm not downloading to C. I'm downloading PR mod for BF2 and it says downloading to E:\pr_setup...
but it's taking up space on the C drive.

Your temp folder is located on your C: drive, it downloads there, then moves when complete.

Your swap file is also probably on your C: drive. You should move it over to your E: drive for performance anyways.

IDE or SATA? If it's IDE then:

Set your OS drive to master, set your CDROM to slave, and set your storage drive to CS.
The OS drive should be on it's own cable (at the end if it's a double gnar gnar)
You storage drive should go at the end of your IDE cable and the CDROM in the middle

Right, once that's all set into place.

Right click on My Computer, Advanced Tab, Performance Settings, Then tell it to have no paging file on your C: and point it to your storage drive.

The best way to have this set up is to partition your storage drive so that your paging file has it's own partition. I have 2 gigs of RAM in my PC so I have my partition and paging file set to: 1024 MB min size / 2048 MB max

Hopefully that can get you on your way.

If you are using Firefox
Tools>options>save files to/choose the drive.
If you are using IE I'm sorry to hear.. (See Downy post)

Too complicated for me, I guess I'll just use Firefox.

Is all that necessary? It sounds like he's got an E drive already set up, so can't he just do the last part: right-click on my computer, go to advanced tab, performance settings. Set page file on C to 0 and make a 2GB paging file on E.

Although he should use Firefox anyway.

That's just optimal, he asked...
