Both of these television shows are rather pathetic. Their comedy has definitely subsided quickly.

Simpsons is a family show which kids will watch at 6pm on a weekday when they get back from school. there is very little hard core violence, swearing or anything bad.
Family guy is not a family show. Kids should not be watching it as the adult humour is too old for them, and it contains a lot more violence, swearing, sexual references/scenes and a lot of bad stuff.
South Park is just wrong.

Well said. They are all different. I am a huge Simpson's fan. Family Guy has its moments but it crosses too many lines with me. South Park is not funny unless your under 18. A like Futurama for its boundless imagination. It gets a little deep sometimes, too.theDude5B wrote:

Simpson's a family show! That's funny! Some episodes are worse than others. I can't watch with my little ones around until they go to bed. You may remember all the Bart hoopla back in the day. You know, bad role model and all that. All those shows are adult themed. Kid's see a cartoon and think there all the same. You are right about the higher intensity of Family Guy.

For example: "He gets naked on a whim, has out-farted Michael Moore, has had three chicken fights and, well, he gets to sleep with Lois." makes Peter win. Homer was naked several times, even on a the super bowl, he had a burp-award, beat the crap out of bush senior, went to space, (and sleeps with marge), was leader of the nuclear power plant, leader of the garbage collection, a beer-baron, ... Sorry but the comparison sucks on that case. As family guy wins with one point, because of that, I'll say the simpsons win at least with several.

I like both shows, although when it comes down to it I prefer Family Guy. I really don't watch the Simpson's anymore, guess I wasn't too amused when they got a little too political for me. Although Family Guy does that I enjoy it more than how the Simpson's pulled it off, but that's just my opinion though.
I like Family guy more than Simpsons. The thing is that if Stewie wasn't a character in family guy i probable would have never watched more than 5episodes.
Yeah, a lot of Family Guy's jokes are just flashbacks. Still a good show though. But for some reason, this exchange in The Simpsons always makes me laugh:
