So I just came back from wendy's, it was seriously busy so I had time to stand in line and think about random crap that goes on in my  head. Well I started to think about how most of the world perceives us...meaning American's as over weight tankers. Scanning the room I did see a few that were a bit pudgy, nothing that I would classify as an immediate heart attack victim though.

And then I started to think about Idealism, and how its been around since the start of time pretty much. Throughout time, people have always had a ideal opinion on what a person should look like. Back in the days of Greece, having a large woman was considered the best choice. It was thought of as the bigger the woman the more healthy she would be to bare children.

Then my thoughts shifted to current times, I for one am not overweight, infact I'm probably only a stone or two from being under weight. I weigh the exact same as I did from the time I left high school about 5 years. But growing up all I have ever heard is that I'm too skinny and that I should eat more, and not like a bird. Well I eat all the time, maybe not alot in one sitting but through out the day I get my fill. Granted I probably would like to fill out a little, so Ive already began collecting free weights to start weight training. But I guess what I wanted to know is that, does anyone else feel that no matter what you do, or look like, you will never match up to idealism.

Personally I think everyone forgets that no one is perfect, otherwise no one would be here.

Please feel free to discuss.

Larger men were looked at favourably back then too. Fat = Food. Now it's all about being hawt and a studmuffin.

Yes. There is no possible way that you will EVER be perfect by everyone's standard. Everyone has a different opinion, so while you may be "perfect" to one person, another person will think the opposite.

People have told me that I have a small face. Then I grew out my hair. Some people said they like my hair being messy and big like that. Others say I should cut it. Can't please everyone.

Ideals are exactly that...  goals, not realities.  Granted, I have seen a few women with ideal bodies.

So, by their very nature, ideals are usually either very rare or not real, but merely concepts or goals to shoot for.
