4-6 weeks? Wow, long waiting time there.
If you want to go for a 8800, you have to go for the GTX, the rest are just a scam.

GTS rocks, the 8600 is pointless!Zimmer wrote:

The 8600 is the smartest move that they made so far, as now DX10 carts are also availeble to people who do not wish to spend 300 dollars on a graphics card..rabee2789b wrote:

Are you joking? It under-performs the 7600. DX10 is just a marketing ploy to get everyone to buy new graphics cards. Granted, on a 8800 there may be some point, but on something that performs as badly as the 8600 it's stupid. All the major tech sites are pretty pissed off about it.RDMC(2) wrote:

Wrong. The 8600 is a cheap, untrustworthy card. It is the "budget" choice DX10 card, but it might as well be an average DX9 card as it is really, really shit.RDMC(2) wrote:

The 8800 GTX is the only real bet for the best graphics out there, the rest are a bit of a scam on nVidias point.
Never heard of Zotac, dont know if I trust them without any reviews or other products I know.gvers wrote:

Edit: Had a look at their site, they've only just been formed and 'came out' at CeBit in Hannover.
If this is the overclocked version Zotac do, Im going to get two!

In 4-6 weeks they'll be £120 everywhere else with the release of the X2900. I'd hold off.

The 8600gt costs around $600 USD in Iceland, 8800gtx is $1300RDMC(2) wrote:

Save your money and get a decent DX9 card that'll out perform the 8600 by miles then.PBAsydney wrote:

Do you really think prices will drop that much currently 8800GTS 320 is about 170-180 and 8800GTS is about 225-250. We will have to see about the ATI pricing and performance on Monday.Zimmer wrote:

P.S. yes I have ordered one to replace my 7800GT then put my 7900GTO in my second PC.

Yeah they will drop, ATi and nVidia have been battling since they came out, and they know this is the way to get their sales. It'll be fun to watch, it has died down a lot recently.
Damn your better off buying it from the states and have it shipped internationally to you.PBAsydney wrote:
