Well first off all some people just dont know how to use this gun that why they say its suck.. 2nd i guess is because its the primary weapon for tkin for vehicles just go to wake at the carrie the're like 4 snipers with m95 waitin for the chopper 2 dont get in snipe the other 2 out and of they go.. I think that the reason people bash the m95.. but i surely love it

ive been hooked ever since. truthfully, over 1000 of my sniper kills are from that weapon alone. its a wonderful thing.

The m95 has too many drawbacks to be a fully successful weapon. It's good for snipers. (I use it all the time) but the problem lies in that all the sniper rifles are only effective if you can see people within range. Which in this game your viewing distance can be somewhat limited at times and once you are within range, someone has either the G3 or some other random gun, and somehow they are able to hit you with no problem at extreme ranges. The long time between bringin the bolt back and not being able to do so without being zoomed in hinders its usage when you can do so many other things in the game and be much more effective.
in real life u do have to un-zoom, sniper rifles are too fake in this game, well m24 that is. I can run around, bunny hop, staying on zoom and headshot a guy when im in mid-air

The M24 and Type 88 are what I use.
I only use the M95 in certain situations.
Like commandeering certain vehicles that have bullet proof glass or blowing barrels up in one shot.
I wonder how the L96 will handle...

Seriously though, I unlocked the sniper first, and back when BF2 was first released it was a LONG time between new unlocks so you had to choose wisely. Well what a piece of shit; a waste of a first unlock, and ever since I gave up on sniper. DC M95 people used to hunt everywhere on the map just waiting for the guns to respawn they were so tight. Honestly, I felt so shafted.

I'm sniper almost exclusively, and I can tell you the M95 is not a waste. All you need to do is learn how to use it.
I thought it was a waste, and then I got some friends to write up a few tips and you realize why people use the M95.
I've landed 500+ Meter shots. One to judge distance and the other to plant it in him.
I like its capability to shoot through glass. One time on a carrier an MEC guy was trying to steal a jet and I'm thinking...no.
Crouched (look mom! no prone needed!) for a second or two scoped in on his head, as soon as the engine started to rev I shot one off and landed him in the skull.
Wanna do that with your M24?
It's practice. Why do we unlock the new guns? To get better guns. Those better guns need to be used differently, but the m95 is incredibly strong when you know how to use it.

M24 is sooo much better. more accurate etc.... I only unlocked as it is better than then 2 pop-guns the PLA and MEC use. M95 wasn't a waste but it is not an upgrade over M24 IMHO. Disagree if you wanna, that is my opinion so there!!!

and what will be better is in the next patch you will take your skill to the next level and get more accuracy because of the patch fix
