Well, mine's a Trek 4100. 22 1/2" frame, metallic red paintwork, currently using fancy red bar ends, one of which has broken under the strain of use. Hardtail design, with a stock rear wheel (black, heavy), and an ancient spare front wheel (aluminium alloy of some kind, light, shiney coloured.). Pretty much everything is still stock; I paid almost £300 to be goddamn SURE I got a working bike right out the store.
But I intend to start pimping it soon. Aiming for kevlar-lined tires, slime-coated innertubes (hate hate hate chainging them), switching the bar ends out for the ones off the bike I got off my father to replace the last Trek that got stolen (big aluminium solid things, heavy but strong, properly fixed, and capable of taking off wingmirrors), carbon-fiber seatpost (don't use the damn seat anyway and have the thing set right down so it doesen't whack me in the nuts on landings), best brake blocks I can find at a decent price, and a fresh set of hybrid tires (off-road chunky on the edges, solid line of tread on the middle for efficiency and stability).
Also, I may end up getting fresh brakes on it, since some dickhead picked the bike up by the cables while I was on it and screwed it up, removing any feel from the rear brake and stopping the levers returning properly.
I probably SHOULD get mudguards, but I hate the way they flap around and break at the slightest impact.Too high a price to pay for no mud on the straights coming around the frame. And a front light, but I don't believe in making myself seen. If they can see me, they can hit me.
