Even more fun, was playing with my clanmates the other day, and he spotted me with his chopper. (Dragon Valley) I quickly run into the tree line, all of the sudden I hear the engine dropping dead and there he comes running after me, I gave him a sweet headie (lucky shot..) and stole his chopper, afterwards he got a new one, and I gunned him down with his former chopper. Oh....what is also nice is when you sneak into the enemy airfield, covertly C4 the J10 of the resident whore who thinks he's more powerful than God.......give him a few minutes of flying and killing unopposed......and the *bam*.....blow his obnoxious ass out of the sky, and watch the screen fill up w/ profanity from your unsuspecting victim.
Some things about this game just make my life better.

The easiest way/place to get them is camp on the hill near where the MEC chopper spawns on the gulf of oman
And while we're on the "blowing up whores" note another good one is getting in humvee (that you friendly commander drops for you) with a few mates on wake as engineer, engineer in the back so he can still use his equiptment then driving along the chinese airstrip dropping A.T mines out the back then drive of and wait for the J-10 to spawn and someone to get in it and drive over you a.t minesRDMC(2) wrote:

One of my finer shots was hitting and killing a Flying Cow pilot with the M24. I was at an angle so I could look through the back of the chooper and at the back of his head.

If you want a lot of practice, just join a Ghost Town server and find yourself on the losing team. Once the other team captures the chopper base closest to your main, you'll have some opportunities. There are several great places to do it from both sides (as SAS and Spetznaz.) If you really want practice, don't shoot anybody that's not in the chopper for the purposes of subterfuge.
Ive shot people out of moving choppers with the m95 exactly 3 times and I've done it a shitload of times when the dude has just hopped in.
Once, a guy was doing a hard maneuver on Surge, he was down near the water at the substation, coming up towards the bridge and going across to my left. I took a very lucky shot and popped him. This was an older patch so the chopper just soared away into the distance with the gunner still blazin' away. I wonder when he noticed.
I shot a BH pilot on Ghost town. He was quite far away, but basically going in a straight line down my sights. The sad thing was that after I shot him, someone else damaged the chopper, so some other dude got the other four kills.
Does hovering count as moving? At the oil fields, I shot a pilot hovering to take the flag. Then, the chopper 'landed' and I guess the gunner thought the pilot landed for him to get out and take the flag because he hopped out. Ha! Time to steal an apache. Stole it and blasted the former gunner. I spent the rest of the time that the SAS had upper south flying VERY carefully so as to make sure that their chopper whorin' asses couldn't use it for a good long while. Just 'cus i'm not a chopper whore doesn't mean I can't fly...well.

put a single round from a pistol into a chopper and if it crashes or explodes and your single pistol round is the last bullet to touch it, you'll get the kill. most likely someone else had already flame killed it and it was just waiting to cook off.sidneysmut wrote:

Isn't that the sensible thing to do if he is too close? I mean, if I see a Spec Ops coming toward me I will drive away from him and machine gun him. in an urban environment the tank doesn't always have room to back away. it doesn't work all the time but it does work sometimes. if they hop out generally the infantryman has an advantage.nighthawk843 wrote:

I do it every so often. Once I did it twice to same guy within two minutes, and the chopper was even circling, that usually doesn't happen.

Ive shot a chopper pilot out of sky a few times and every time it OMG i did that! LOL
i tagged a solo pilot hovering low to cap South Base on Wake. The chopper fluttered to the ground and I was able to take off with the american chopper...that's the only time I ever popped a guy out of the cockpit, but boy that was hilarious and exhilirating!! That's better than stealing a tank from a tankwhore!
Nope, I've had some flukes where I've been shot out of an apache with an F2000. I've also shot out some people with the MG on the J10...But I guess that doesn't count.{M5}Sniper3 wrote:

a little off topic again but. When the game was still first out, back around 1.2 and before and you could find operation clean sweeps like it was no body's business I would get on there as MEC and hitch a ride to the USMC airfield and plant a C4 inside of the Black Hawks and one on the glass of the Cobra or two on the fuselage depending on what I had left. Once I got lucky and had two Blackhawks and the cobra lined with C4 run and hide, had to kill one guy that saw me but the rest were just running to fly I guess, and waited till they were all in the air, something like 10 to 14 kills scroll past my screen when I pressed the detonator. People were asking what in the hell happened because the Blackhawk was fine and didn't blow up, but having the C4 inside killed everyone.
