I`m not so familiar with the Brady campaign, have been reading on the web site in small portions for a couple of days and i can see why NRA doesn`t love him, he still have some valid points.

No, I'm not saying that we should abolish all of the laws. That is a truly stupid idea. What I am saying is that when a tragedy occurs, often people go straight to the "let's make new laws" stage. We have tons of firearms laws, the problem becomes how to enforce them. The current laws are broken too frequently, but I believe that what we need are ways to enforce the current ones rather than make entirely new laws (that will also likely be frequently broken).

So why not simplify those laws that exist so those with no criminal intent can have their rights according to the 2nd amendment and still having laws keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

Would it be so bad to take an psychic evaluation to get a licence for instance or to wait that extra week or two before you could get hold of a gun if that at the same time makes it harder for a gun to fall in the hands of the wrong people ?
