So I hear in the new patch that the Nade launcher is being nerfed, I know that they're making it so it has a certain time before it arms, but what effect will this have on people like me who've mastered the long range nade launching ability and use it skillfully?

As you all know, the nade explodes on impact..so if some n00b t00ber decides to launch one at you from 2ft away, he's going to kill you (and probably) him, so with the new arming thing you've got time to get away?

How long is it before it explodes?

I can hit people who are quite far away usually first time, not just by luck either. Will the nade explode as soon as it hits the person thats a long way away or will they have time to get up and run off, despite my shot being perfectly aimed (I always get great joy out of killing someone with the nade launcher when they are a long way away)

I don't know about the real life counterpart but i did see on tv the other day someone using a nade launcher and it exploding straight away, so it'd be helpfull if you could give me some info.

I am not a noob toober, I am a person who can kill you from long distances with a nade launcher

When I was in the suck, if I remember correctly, there is a certain amount of rotations before it is armed.  Not sure how this works, because we used to spin them and then toss them and nothing would happen, and yes, after they were primed.

Arming distance is exactly what it sounds like, after it has gone a certain distance it is armed and will explode on the next object it impacts. Before that it will bounce off of objects so it will be much harder to noob tube people at close range. At least that is what happened in a video I saw of the new GL in action. The GL was shot at some close range object, the grenade bounced off and exploded on a hill behind it.

I have no idea how it will work if the grenade doesn't go very far though. Say you shoot the grenade into some small area where it doesn't have a chance to bounce very far and doesn't go the minimum arming distance. Will it just explode automatically after a short period of time, or just lay there and never explode

Is the distance equated to the amount of spins?  What I mean is, does it judge a certain amount of rotations and equate that to a certain distance?

It would seem that it arms after it's travelled a certain distance, not after a certain time.  This has the effect of stopping n00b t00bers (combined with the can't fire whilst jumping fix), but should not affect long range shots, which is what the GL was designed for (as well as a limited use against thin skinned vehicles)  I'm someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I read it

yeh, if u watch the video EA/Dice released displaying some of the new features, u'll see that the grenade arms after it has traveled a set distance. In the video it gets fired at a wall near the player, and bounces off it, exploding wen it hits the ground nearby.
