over-analyze?

how would you figure?
my shit is still in my car......
seems to me you might have under-analyzed the situation. or became to comfortable with the fact that people only get busted for pot and drinking. living in a college town should make you think to get an alarm for that reason...ive broken into plenty of cars, and let me tell you, the people that feel like they are safe are the easiest to get.

lawl , i would so badly laugh if it was parker who broke into your car, that would just make my day.

but anyways, its sounds like the guy who broke in may hav seen it, as if they bypassed the alarm system, and also knew how to open the seat. Makes you wonder tho eh?

Drunkenresistance, Don't bother posting a thread if every time you get a slightly negative post you go off on a tangent ranting swearing and telling people to stop posting. This is the internet, if someone thinks you were stupid and didn't buy a quality alarm, they have every right to post it. If you don't like it, delete your thread and go live under a rock.
This is coming from you?

That is pretty lame my friend... I would never think of doing such a thing.  I guess considering how much you have broken into cars... with your oh-so-great experience you knew you should get the best alarm system, I wouldn't fuckin blame you man.  Breaking into cars, how juvenile.  I hope you feel good about yourself.  I'm sure it reflects on yourself as a human.  Nice life dude...
Im guessing you know how safe people feel as well... That's amazing.

There is only one solution...bear traps. Or some cobras. Bear traps and cobras, then sprinkle some diamonds on the floor just to torture the thieves. Don't use bees, you'll never catch them all when it's time to drive.

You know, Metalface.... Thats a great idea.  As long as they are portable.

Easy, just disarm the traps and the cobras can ride shotty. You may need some snake handler training though, some anti-venom wouldn't hurt either. Make sure you do a background check on the cobras too, diamonds are expensive.

LOL so my life is shit because i made mistakes when i was young?

im a bad person because i broke into cars? you dont know me, and maybe if you did you would realize that people sometimes do stupid things when they are young.....and if you think robbing some cars is so bad you aint seen shit of the world my friend. ive done plenty of things im not proud of, but none i regret....everything was a lesson, nothing you can hear from any professor....i know cause i attended college when i got my shit together.

i pride myself in the fact that i can look at certain situations for what they really are based on past experience.

oh and by the way, people change as they grow.........i went from a kid that flipped more dope than your college buddies ever had a wet dream over, to a married, successful small business owner that contributes to society in many ways.....pass your judgment, my experiences have my system still in my car

on a serious note, did you have the police dust the knife for prints?
They said due to the nature of the knife, and the grip that it had, the cop said it would be nearly impossible... But I really just dont think they give a shit!
I feel for your loss.  My home was burglarized when I was a kid & it was terrifying.  Then they came back a week later for the stuff they missed.

On a side note:  Dust for prints?  Come on people!  It's a freakin' property crime with a value of what, a couple grand tops?  As someone involved in the law enforcement community I can tell you, it just ain't gonna happen.

Sorry to dissapoint you but I think you've all been watching too much CSI.
The police have much bigger fish to fry.  To waste time & resources on a crime like this would be a crime in and of itself.

In some cities they won't even send an officer out if your car gets stolen, they'll do it all over the phone.

Again, sorry for your loss man.

Alright Parker,  I am pretty much over this whole debate.  We've have all done stupid things.... breaking into cars, buying non *QUALITY* alarms... Moving dope, which btw, me and my college buddies would all laugh at your comment.  You are right, we dont know each other, so therefore we cant judge each other.  I've definitely seen a lot man, dont get me wrong, we all have.  Whereas maybe I wasnt causing crime, but i've seen WAY to much stuff that I would never want to see again or want anyone else to see or ever have to deal with.  I've learned and taught myself LOTS of lessons man.  Perhaps my stereo wasn't a top priority when I was in high school.  But none the less, I have respect for you, you definitely want to get your point across, and congrats on marriage and success, thats amazing and you probably deserve it.  I'm not to big of a fan of my girlfriend that I have been with for awhile, and marriage DEFINITELY seems way out of the way for me.  I am just graduating and plan on moving and hopefully gain success in some type of informatics or business job.  I don't really know if college straighted me out, more like stressed me out.  Experience definitely matters.  Perhaps we all need a little more...

It's reccomended that when there is a funeral someone stay ay the deceased person's residence as well as the next of kin.

Burglars read the obituaries as a way of targeting empty residences.

Thats pretty common over here too. Usually obituaries have a date/time and adress in it and its just all the info burglars need. There's insurance companies that hire guards to keep an eye on your house. Btw they broke into the house of my grandmother while she was having christmas dinner with us at my parents house. They tore her house apart but she was pretty cool about it. We offered her to spent the night at our place or that me or my brother would spent the night at hers but she told us that wasnt nessicary and they wouldnt come back.

Anyways it sucks that they destroyed the soft top of your jeep and stole your sound system but i m glad to hear nobody was hurt. Also maybe its better that you didnt hear/notice anything cause that guy could have used that knife on you mate.

Strange thing just happened this morning.

So yes, my stuff was stolen, nearly a week afterwards I had my top off my Jeep and left it like that during the night. ( I only had burnt cds in my car and maybe 2 actual bought cds ) But anyways someone took that shit too.
Left the DVD in the backseat, something actually worth a little bit of money.... haha makes no sense.

But around 515AM, I had just gone out to my Jeep to put my windows up and I armed my alarm and went to lay down in bed.  Around 540 I hear the trash people roll up, given its trash day.  The truck is super loud, which masks a lot of sound, but I hear my alarm go off.  I run to my window and see one of the trash fucks walking away from my Jeep, a younger guy, probably around 24 - 27.  They didnt even take the trash... left a sticker saying they couldnt take it.  I bet these guys have been cleanin people out, because they operate so early and the truck is so loud to mask any sound.  It makes sense.  Busted ho's!

i hate to hear bout you stuff being stolen but is very common in jeeps. i read you have an alarm you need to look into haveing the shock sensor moved to under the passanger seat(mainly where they will sit to install or remove a headunit being you have more work room) so any shock or movement now  on that front seat will cause the alarm to go off. and you live in an apartment complex always turn you music down before you enter. im sure they live  along the main road to you apt. unit or near you and seen and heard your jeep.

this happened quit a ferw time in my old complex so i never installed my system. didnt want to lose almost 2 grand of equiment be cause some b!tch was jelious or needed money.

You seem to over-analyze everything... Basically, for a college town... not much really happens criminally that is... People get busted for pot or drinking underage.  Not to many thefts happen around here man.
You did say Bloomington, right?  As a former resident of Terre Haute who spent a lot of time in Bloomington (for reasons obvious to anyone from the area), I can't even remember the number of people I knew who had vehicles broken into there.  Sucks that your shit got lifted, but the second I read "Bloomington" in the OP I simply thought "ah, that explains it."
