Whenever I try to start up 2142 now i get a black screen which flickers for a second, goes back for a few seconds and then crashed to desktop with an error saying "Windows searching for error solution..."

Earlier today it was working fine but i just got a new 22' widescreen (BEAUTIFUL!) and its not working anymore.  I installed the drivers on the CD and even tried reinstalling 2142 but, alas, nothing

Any help?

have you set your resolution via the target line to the 22" wide resolution (1680x1050)??

that might do it...

Deleting the 2142 folder in my docks might do something (worked for a slew of BF2 problems) just remember yer login details

now the follow-up...have you tried without the target line addition??

this happened to me a lot at the start of bf2 when my drivers were out of date...possibility at least (though unlikely).

what fenix said will probably work...you will have to re-optimize as well...
