im going for my expert and i just got ripped off for some reason. I did nothing all round but place claymroes didnt shoot or anything. I got 38 kills with claymores and bang no badge. So im giving up on it now. And im talking about claymore kills not "Killed" messages.

Well. Got my vet badge on Ghost town yesterday. Think I ended on 25-26 kills at the end of the round, so I guess I was a "dick" using clays...

You call someone a clayspammer and then you admit to that lame ass C4 jumping crap?  Grow some stones and get it the real way.

I have yet to get it.  I had earned the kills for vet explosives on Gulf of Oman, but in getting the last two kills for it i made the "mistake" of killing an admin by planting c4 on his hovering attack helo while he was trying to cap a flag.  BOOM easy two kills since gunner was too scared to get out.  Got kicked immediately after the 2 kills...bastards.  I did at least get my first explosives badge in that round.

I swear to you that i will get that explosives award on Oman with a mix of c4 and ATmines. 

When i do get it i will be proud of the way it was attained.  Much in the way that i was proud to attain my expert knife in the old way of 18 KiAR.  Got it on karkand as MEC.  I charged up the hill at their left side arty spawn point.  Hunkered down right under the LMG.  Waited for a good sized squad or group to go over the sand bags then chased them down knifing all the way.  It was a fast 6 kills to start the round.  After that it was some ambushing and constant spawning on contentious flags.  Imagine a similar tactic would work with explosives.

Ghost Town isn't a good map to get it on as the rounds often don't last long enough. Warlord would be much better: large server, lowish player load. Karkand is also a very good option. Mash and Sharqi are possibles too.

Generally the teams have to be fairly balanced but if you're Insurgents on Warlord for example and you're down to spawning in the palace you're guaranteed there'll be incoming guys on foot to rack up kills. And if the other team is playing in squads you'll often get lucky with more than one kill per clay.

I got vet and expert same game, on Warlord as commander (Insurgents) during a long round, helping protect flags and flag access in the rear.

If you want to go after the badges specifically then doing that and nothing else is always a good start, just like with the pistol badges. If you're playing by yourself there's some luck involved in finding enough ammo, unless you die to give yourself 2 more clays, so a friendly support player (or a good commander dropping supply crates where they're useful) will definitely help.
