I hated school with a passion, got expelled from a few along the way and eventually at 16 told the headmaster of the last school I attended to "stick his shitty fucking school up his ass" and walked out.  I was making more money at the age of 16 than most of the people who were "teaching" me, which led to a kind of resentment between us. I didn't have even my basic exams - however when I turned about 24/25 I started going to night class for an interest during the winter nights and got basic GCSE English & Math. The following year I took an A level in politics ,which then led on to me doing my under grad, followed by completing a post grad.

hell yes i would go. i dont need mom and dad to tell me to go to school. its called self motivation for you noobs out there.

me going to school, graduating, and getting a good job beats any videogame or any punk who spends dozens of hours padding for non tangible items like medals and awards.

ill gladly give up my gaming hobbie for a degree anyday.

After 9-year-long primary school, further education is optional here in Finland.
Of course, most of people keep studying after that by their own choice. You have no chance to get a good job with your primary school education level.

So I choose yes.

Edit: Yep, self motivation FTW.

It IS optional when you get to my age. Not going back to school now, dammit.

I hated school and tried to avoid it as much as possible.  No way I would have gone if i didn't have too.
edit:Mind you 10 years later i went to university.  But that's different plus I'm a much different person now.

Yes I would go, I don't think that many other people would go though. It would be a lot easier to get a job as an educated student if half the population didn't attend school.
Might be easier to get a job, but social services would end up costing a fortune and minimum wage would be an even larger factor.  Our overall economy would take a huge hit.  Just imagine if only 50% of our population had a High school deploma and if 25% didn't get past 8th grade.  It would be a sad state for the soon to be third world US of A.

By the way, I am currently looking at Masters programs in Information Systems.  So yea, I would vote for school, I never take an easy out unless its baseball.
