It depends what case you get. Criminal cases can be very interesting, while civil cases are often very, very boring. I was summoned about a year ago and I got stuck with a civil case, I could barely keep my eyes open but it got me out of work.

If you aquit the dude tell everyone in the Jury to not look at the defendant when they come out. That'll scare the shit out of him/her, no Jury ever looks at the person they've just convicted.
I want to get Jury duty before I get a Law degree 'cause once I get that I'm not allowed to be on a Jury.
