Acer X222 (Monitor, 22", widescreen 1680x1050, DVI)
eVGA 8800GTS 640MB (Need I say more?)
Hiper 730W PSU
mushkin 2GB DDR2 800 (2x, 4GB total)
eVGA 122-CK-NF68-T1 (Motherboard, 680i chipset, SLi capable)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe (Very good for OCing, or so I heard)

Total: $1,620.92

I'll be using the current case, speakers, soundcard (X-Fi), keyboard/mouse, and wifi card I have right now to cut unnecessary costs. How does it look? And anyone willing to give (not lend, give) me $1,620.92? =p

go for the Samsung or Dell 22" LCD...not the Acer (cheapo plastico).

6600 is the sweet spot, good choice...i would get some faster ram...corsair has a good ddr 1000 set for about $250...not because you need the speed, but you can lock the speed into DDR800 and bring down the latency to ~3...

i would personally go with WD drives...never had one fail yet on me in nearly 7 years of using them...my segate failed in the first 4 months, but then there are those who swear by them...

is the PSU a 2x 12v rail setup? i could look it up, but that = time.

overall, i like it a lot, be sure you have a roomy case for that card, and be sure the cables on the PSU are long enough...gl on the build...

Very good choices. 1 thing I could fault is the PSU. Seen a few Hiper PSUs die quite spectacularly. For a big one like that I'd go with Seasonic, Enermax or Tagan if you can.
