Yeah, if it's Ultimate, you should have both on the disc. If not, you've been ripped off. Where did you buy it from?

Came preinstalled from a custom computer shop in Canada (I know the owners - not likely they would rip me off)

Are you sure it's Ultimate, and are you sure they didn't do Anytime Upgrade? The Ultimate disc should have both versions on it.

edit: You might want to contact Microsoft and ask them about this.

Ah, you've got OEM (which does come either/or) not retail (where you get both)... In that case... hmm... you're only 'strictly legal' method to get 64bit Ultimate would be to buy the full retail Ultimate package (and end up with two copies of 32bit ultimate)...

Grr... bloody Microsoft... Why can't we just have two versions, OEM and retail, both with everything???

But, if you know the owners of the shop...

Probably answered already, but I didn't want to skim the thread. Ultimate will give you both 32 and 64. From there, you can install both in a multi-boot setup.

Not if it's OEM Ultimate - then you only get the variant the shop/manufacturer decides to give you!

Don't purchase Vista.... It's very incompatible to programs written for any other OS, and it uses too much system resources! Wait till Vista gets an SP1 or something...
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
