saying the border is the source of the problem is like saying your skin is the reason you got cut.
i guess source is not the correct term, but please take a look at the big picture. i doubt you are saying we should relax our border or do nothing because people will find a way to get across it anyway, or at least i hopeHunterOfSkulls wrote:
They aren't crossing the border for the fuck of it, because it's there and it's poorly secured. They're crossing it because there's something on the other side they want, something they have a decent idea will be given to them, that they can't get at home: jobs. Build a fence. Build a wall. Build both of them 200 feet high and top them with razor wire and broken glass and put sentry towers with fixed machinegun emplacements. They'll dig under it, they'll go over it, they'll con or sneak their way through it. As long as there's jobs on one side and shit on the other, it might as well not be there at all. Walls and fences aren't going to change that. Cute little stories likening Mexicans to filthy, pushy vermin looking for a handout isn't going to change it either.
actually, i offered possible solutions, but they are obviously unrealistic as i said:HunterOfSkulls wrote:
All you're doing is bitching about the birds and ignoring the people feeding them and the people making sure they can't eat somewhere else
so then i voted for discouraging illegal immigrants by securing our border (which you stated you are opposed to without offering a [better] solution:CoronadoSEAL wrote:
possible solutions would include mass deportation and new policies of background checks to 'purify' our population. unrealistic.

the only thing left is cut the problem at the source - the border. secure it. however, this does not solve many [other] problems...
such as yourself?HunterOfSkulls wrote:
Maybe we should try deporting the people who hire them and give away American jobs or the people who enforce the trade deals driving Mexican agriculture and manufacturing into the shitter. Or maybe it's just easier to be a dolt regurgitating recycled bonehead propaganda about the Brown Hordes coming to take over the US from within, since asking the tough questions of why and how this is happening is too "out there" for some people.
