So, 2 years ago I wrote a long paper on a history topic which discussed the impact of the Norwegian resistance during the war.. I find this very interesting and if there are any other history orientated students out there, should I post the paper on the forums and teach some cool, interesting history? This is out of pure interest..
Sure, why not.

Ill summarize it:
Its about a group of Norwegian commandoes who were specially trained in sabotaging a Heavy Water factory in Telemark..The Germans, at the time, were using the heavy water as a moderator for the atomic bomb and by destroying the plant, Norway stopped Germany from shipping the heavy water off to Germany, ultimately stopping them from producing the atomic bomb..
Ill post it soonish, I just need to run through it and spell check it
No one will read it, they will just say "wow long i didn't read it but +1" ..
Ray Mears did a programme on it.

The Heroes of Telemark?

I actually saw this movie. It was OK...
The Norwegian heavy water sabotage was a series of actions taken by Norwegian saboteurs during World War II to prevent the German nuclear energy project from acquiring heavy water which could be used to produce nuclear weapons.
Between 1942 and 1944 a sequence of sabotage actions by the Norwegian resistance movement, as well as Allied bombing, ensured the destruction of the plant and the loss of the heavy water produced. These operations — codenamed "Freshman", "Grouse" and "Gunnerside" — finally managed to knock the plant out of production in early 1943, basically ending the German research.
The raid was later dubbed by the British SOE as the most successful act of sabotage in all of World War II.
