I dont especially like MMORPG's (hypocritical... I know), but my wife likes to play them with me. She wants me to play either WoW or LOTRO with her. Which should I choose and why?

good point, id say guildwars is a good one to go with, plenty of content and no subscription feesParker wrote:
has she tried any of the free ones?
might save yourself some money seeing as you need to pay to play some.
anyway, good luck.
when i decided to try mmorpgs (darkside) i first downloaded silk road, and it was ok. the best one i found was last chaos, better graphics than the others and you dont need to pay for anything unless you want to. try a google search for last chaos if your interested.OmniDeath wrote:

That is a hell of an idea parker. You can do a free pass for both games... right?Parker wrote:

WoW's pvp is awesome. It's why I play. I personally wouldn't touch Lord of the Rings Online... As the pvp aspect was kinda tacked on at the end from what I've heard.
It's not better.... just beatable by a 7 year old.weamo8 wrote:

So the general concensus from the rest of you is WoW? If it is a better game, that works for me. I dont mind addictive (even though I dont have tons of free time).
What do you all think makes WoW better?
I'm going to try that.Phatso wrote:
Try 9 Dragons. Its a free MMORPG based on martial arts and stuff. Its in open beta stages but runs as smooth as anything.
Hasn't crashed in 2 months!
I would seriously recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different in the MMO scene.

The sparring as available at any level, but most of the PVP is player vs moster player. At lvl 10 you can make a L50 monster character and kill players with it in a specific zone, which players can being to go to at 40. There are fortresses which can be captured by raids and some fairly epic sized battles.Flecco wrote:
