Has this happened to anyone else?

First for me, I was MEC support (rpk-74), grabbed a random dead USMC kit. The kills I made after the fact show a G36E and it sounded like a G36E also, but it looks like an M16a2.????????

nope..but i can bet you that..that might be the source of the problem of Crashing to desktop... it always happen when either me or someone is grabbing a dead mans kit

Well I never crash to desktop. and it didnt cause any other problems. I just thought i would show you all.

yup happend to me a few times to... what you see in your screen is the real gun cause its shoots like a m16 not like a g36e. i did get the same thing with m24. l96a1

yea i got that last night too but it was with it said the l85, was pretty cool though it gave me the M16 in full auto, that was heaven on hearth then when i ran out of ammo, for some reason when i picked up a ammo pack the gun got stuck on single shot, my buddy said i was firing in full auto but to me it said single, it shot one bullet, and ect. pretty lame an cool

accuatly you get that when you have, is call moding the gun skin, you us a gun and you edit the game and you have now kill with any gun in the game, you can us a pistol and be kill with an mg36.

I've had a bug where my m16 is stuck on single fire, if I change to burst it changes back to single and has the same recoil as burst with just one shot.

not with that kit was the sniper kit was using the L96a1 and was saying you killed soandso with the M95. 1 shot kills and small crosshairs.

The gun you're actually using is the G36E. The server isn't registering it properly because there's a bug that never got fixed in the transition between kits. This bug can occasionally happen and has been around since the SAAW mis-fire Bug.
If you would have picked up the L85 instead of the G36E the M16 would be set to automatic mode.
It would look like an Automatic M16 but it's really an L85 with the wrong sound effects and textures.
