I have a creative blaster audigy but I cant switch sound settings to creative eax.. it says its not compatible or something like that. when I switch to hardware then sounds come really weird ingame. because of that I play software. does this can be because of speakers?
Are you sure you installed the latest drivers?
Maybe the connection with the PC isn't good, push it in and see if it helps, my sound was very low once and it was because the lime plug for the speakers wasn't plugged in completely.

It's only plugged in with 1 cable and yet you want EAX? ..
I got an Sb X-Fi and i have to switch to game mode to be able to select EAX.
ok I passed that but then why it makes weird noises when I switch to hardware?
Do the voices stutter repeatedly? I used to have the audigy SE and that's what used to happen.Ottomania wrote:

Edit: if so get the latest drivers from creative.com

Sounds like the drivers are for a different card than yours.Ottomania wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
I am not silly if you still think so then find me right driversThe Stillhouse Kid wrote:

What is the full name of your card?Ottomania wrote:

There are 20 different cards on Creative's driver site that fall under the category of "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy" and they won't all use the same drivers. You need to know the exact name of your card to get the right ones.crimson_grunt wrote:

There should be a label on the card with a model number on it. Check that against the list here:

Drivers that come with hardware is usually outdated and crappy.
