What are you talking about?  While playing a game, like BF2, you will have to alt tab to use the other application.  You should be able to see the application, but you will not be able to move your mouse to that application and click on it, to use it.  At least that is what I have experienced.

If you have say iTunes on monitor 1 and a web browser on monitor 2, you can cycle between the two without alt tabbing.  You just have to click on the program that you want to use at that time.

If you had just your desktop on one monitor and BF2 on another, then how would you move your mouse to the other screen?  You need to use alt_tab to get your cursor out of BF2.

You can run BF2 in windowed mode at the full-screen resolution so it takes up the whole screen on one monitor.  Then when you click on another item/app. on the other monitor, it doesn't minimize or affect BF2 in the other screen.  That's the easiest way to do it in my experience.

Actually, it would quite suck. For instance, if you played BF2 and with a move to the left or to the right you'd land right on your desktop, hell, let's rather not talk about your kdr ^^

I didn't ever have that problem when I did it.  What's wrong with my kdr?  It's .08 from yours =p.

Well how do you move your mouse out of BF2? Wouldn't you just keep turning around in game?

No seriously, if you didn't have to use alt+tab you'd in a turn come to your desktop, right? Isn't that truly a disadvantage in any game if you're - after a sharp turn - not controlling the game anymore?
