Do you think they will be a hype about this in the year 3000?
How do you think it will affect the computer industry?

Will people even worry about it if it happens?

I'll be looong gone by then... but in 1000 years, we'll either be way way ahead and we'll be fine.  Or we'll have blown ourselves back to the stone ages..

eehm no, the problem was that the computers would think it would be 1900 again instead of 2000 with the Y2K bug. So they solved it. That way it shouldn't be a problem in 3000 (unless the solution was really crappy)

I wonder though, why 3000 and not 2100 ;-) Should be the same problem, no?

The machines will already have taken over the world and made us their slaves by then so it doesn't matter.

Dude, haven't you heard that the Global is Warming, the Ice caps are Melting, and we will be lucky to make ith to 2010 let alone 3000 because that is like 90 years further away or something.  Maybe you should be more worried about CFCs and Pollution than the next like century.

Save the whales!!!!

Seriously though, the 31st century is a pretty far away.  I would think people would be more concerned with the mutants from the underworld and fighting the borg by then.

sorry sorry, I stopped reading when I got to here.

You do realise that Ice has a larger mass than water right?

Meaning that the icecaps being gone makes pretty much.. no effect?

CFCs have been outlawed pretty much everywhere and only so much chlorine can remain in our atmosphere until it is all gone.

I doubt the world will be here in a thousand years. Global Warming, Ice Caps, O-Zone Layer, The Sun Imploding, The Universe Imploding..

Even if the imploding doesn't happen, the world will not be able to survive all that!

Yes we can, 3000 is 990 years after 2010, not 900

Do you have selective reading skills?

If ICE is LARGER.

and WATER is SMALLER

Ill put it this way:

100g of water takes up 100ml

100g of ice takes up 108.7ml

Therefore, if anything, the sea levels should drop.

Understand now? what random people on the news say isnt always true
