alright, i know that there have been numerous post in here about all the stupid things that go wrong when playing. hopefully someone can help me, cause you name it i think ive had it. first off, when i last played on line, i wasnt haveing issues, then the blues screen came up and shut down my computer. correct me if im wrong but isnt xp not suppose to have that blue screen. i restarted the game, it does the whole EA flash and all the stuff it does when you start the game, no problems. when it gets to the menu, instead of battles going on in the back ground, i get a gray screen and all the borders around boxes are screwed up, and i cant get to my menu or anything. restart 5 or 6 times, same thing. if uninstalled, reinstalled the game as well as video card drivers and game patches numerous times. it will work ONCE then it starts this junk all over. i have a gig of memory and a geforce 5500 series. what gives?? i have no problems with BF Veitnam, medal of honor, BF2 is killing me. any ideas or suggestions? im sure ill get redirected, but its good.
Not much to say on this one since you already reinstalled the game and the drivers.
Only two things come to mind. One easy and the second a bitch.
1. rename the movies in the files so they don't come up when starting the game. see if that fixes stuff.
2. reinstall windows or at least run the repair install from the Windows XP CD. Might help.

Virus maybe? Sounds fishy.
Then again, my PC screws up every ten minutes. I just kick it, or punch the screen, jab at the buttons, rip out the disk drive, yell abuse at it, and jab the button so hard as to break my finger to shut it down and then press it again to restart it. I then yell at it some more and tell it that it was it's own stupid fault that there was an improper shut down.
After that it works fine... for about ten minutes. Rinse and repeat.
