You hold Israel far more accountable than Hamas.
The Hezbollah aren't much of a fighting organisation, yet they weren't crushed by the IDF as expected. Hamas would use the same tactics and possibly get the same result.
IMO, Israel has a shit hot air force, but all wars can't be won from the air, they aren't too good at going toe to toe.
