I think I finnaly figured out how to get more gold medals.

1. Team points- Its all about the team points no matter how crappy your kills are you can still get a gold medal that's what I like about this game.

2. Always have more than double the commander score if your not commander. That's easy to do but keep checking his score so you know what you have to accomplish.

3 Be a commander and make sure you win. A good commanding map is Karkand. Most of the time everyone is forced together and u and get a lot of points with suppplies.

4. With having more than double the commanders score you also have to have more than everyone else on the team. I found out it is best to do so as a medic. I have gotten 10 revives in under 30 seconds.

5. Get into a tank or an apc with gunners. U get easy team points plus ur normal kill points. Hide in a safe spot and kill like crazy. Tankers should get at leat 20 kills within 10 mins. of the round.

6.Helicopter- Get into a helicopter and be the gunner.Have the pilot Follow UAV and go there instead of somewhere else. Pay attention to question marks on the screen ect/crosshairs.

If anyone has anymore tips let me know. I only have 6 gold stars and 6 tips lol and I am now only getting gold stars as a medic now. That's pretty much all I can think of for now. I hope they make since.

as a commander you don't get points for supply drops or anything.. commander score = your teams average score (not including people with 0 or negitave points)

be a tank whore, i am, just last night i got 2 golds on kubra dam, in a T-90. i have a total of 23 golds, 22 silvers and 23 bronze.

my no 1 tip is fuck fighting, just go round back and capture the points!

the problem with most peoples' technique is they would rather fight than cap a flag - which is WRONG
Karkand is the prime example of this
If a flag has gone neutral you drop everything get your squad and transport and haul ass to that flag
Odds are you will get more kills that way, flag capture points, resupply/revive points and you will probably survive as you are away from the main force
a flag 'whoring' squad will top a server every time and win a map no matter what any fly boy will claim

Alrighty. Thanks for the tips. I suck at flying though anything really. I'm more of a ground person If you have anymore tips let me know. I"ve only been playing since October so yah I'm still a noob

(planes or assault).

Just play the way which is good for your team and dont care about the points. Sure I didnt get 300+ golds but I got at least 200+ and I'm not flying or do tank camp or so. I'm a ground person I just have fun in this game. If you r n expert pilot play Oman or Wake, if you r an infantryskilled Karkand, Sharqi; like tanks?! Most Chinese maps.
I have to say that medic 'whoring' <---- h8 this word sry, will help you only on 64 server + city maps. I'm usually support so yes I can get some teampoints, but the best way to get it is to cap flags! See medic is dead, forget about your new F2000 or w/e and help. Play to win and you ll see that stars are coming to you So I'd say want to get more stars, dont thing about them just play and have fun.
+ It sux when you get a gold but your team lose (not for everyone, but definetly for me)

the way ea said it works is your commander score is-

you get 1 point for every kill divided by all the living members of your team at that time

lol if it were your teams average it would be a pretty shit score

more people have scores in 10-20 than guys in 40-90

The point of BF2 isn't to get gold medals. It's to have fun. If you urge yourself to rush in and kill as many guys die, kill as many guys, die in order to get gold medals, the game becomes boring. Instead of points and kills, I try to see how many deaths I can prevent, (and how many kills I can get whilst staying alive.) I have a respectable count of medals and if I get one by having fun, then awesome. Unless it's a silver medal. I am so sick of those.

I know it isn't about getting gold medals but I've kicked ass so many times. I finally have a positive kd ratio and that was a bitch to get. I don't know my about commander yet but I've one a few times. I thought resuplying people as a commander gave u points lol. I'm such a noob. Now the supply box is only good for keeping them alive and getting a better K d ratio right ? lol I'm such a noob I need to re read the commander guide.
