I know that this may seem like a stupid, uneducated, heartless response but... There is always going to be war and violence in the world. Nothing will ever stop it. There will always be the people who want to harm others for no reason (or religious reasons) and nothing will change their minds. Our "global opinion" may help change the leaders minds (doubt it though) but it will never change what extremists or terrorists do. 9/11 wasn't just Afghani people attacking America for no reason, they were religious extremists (terrorists) that had no affiliation with the regular people of Afghanistan. They are just like the people in the USA who shoot up schools, or rape women and children because they want to, but they really do not reveal anything about the rest of the regular Americans. There will always be war in the world, and right now it just happens to be between the US and the Middle East nations. Maybe one day we will come to peace, but by then we will be fighting with somebody else. It is a vicious cycle that will never end. The only way to escape it is to ... there is no way to escape it. In the words of a favorite coach of mine, "Suck it up and deal with the adversity!" I'm sorry if my opinion offends anybody.

I like the way you said that. But while you say you think for yourself, they do too, they just can't say what they think or they will be shot or killed. Maybe not all of the countries are like that, but a lot of the coultries in the ME are. I would be willing to fight for my free will also, but they don't have the free will and cannot fight for it. Yet again, if they try to fight, or speak out about their government they will be killed. We may be a lot different on the surface, and what we see of them and vice versa may be very different, but in essence we are all the same. That is a great video.
It ignores some things, for sure, but it also makes great points that some wouldn't think of such as the beauty queen "liberated/oppressed" comparison.
Our cultures are vastly different, but there is so much similar that is never shown, and that's the stuff that really matters.

It is extremely sad how true that is. I will never be able to wrap my mind around why the leaders of these countries can just sit and kill their own people because they insulted them, or spoke their own opinions. They are just people just like everybody else. I just wish that the people in all of those countries would stand up and fight for their freedom. If one person starts, and more follow, maybe one day something will actually change. As it is now, all of those countries are headed for ... I don't even know. It all just seems so trivial and stupid to me. I know this is a wish that will never come true. EVER. But I wish everybody could just co-exist rather than killing each other and insulting each other.
