Is the Surge working?  Violence seems to be down because the public opinion, it seems, to have shifted towards the American troops on the ground - the Iraqi would rather have them then Al-Quada it seems.

Local Shakes are now volunteering their young men to the police and military. 

Could we actually win?  What will everyone think of Bush?  What will the Democrats do?

No, we want the Conservatives to lose power so they don't keep doing dumb things like invading Iraq.

What CamPoe was saying in that thread was that the Iraq war would have gone to hell either way, and if Bush had lost it would have been blamed on Liberals (of course, it's being blamed on Liberals anyway..................)

Since the beginning of this war in 2003, over 3440 American soldiers and 100.000 Iraqis have lost their lives. I'd say this war is already a failure. Fancy that...
