You know its funny...Bill Clinton did a great job at making the American people feel good about their country. As long as there is a Republican Congress to balance him out then I think all is good.

In response to OP: Bill Clinton just got lucky that our economy was at that point in it's cycle, the best point it could be. Sucks to be Bush because he caught it at the worst point. It's gonna get a little worse from here, but within a few years the economy will go back to being great again. That's just how it goes.

I'm not saying that our shitty economy isn't entirely independent of the president's actions. The presidents can have large impacts on the economy with the right (or wrong) choices. But luck is also a huge factor. Clinton made some good choices and his luck furthered the economic boost. Had Bush made good choices, the economy still wouldn't be as bustling as it was, but it wouldn't be this bad either.konfusion wrote:
