There are many densely populated areas that are not "High Crime" and

"High Crime" areas that are not densely populated.

I have also witnessed  first hand, Densely populated High Crime areas, that stayed densely populated  and became low crime areas  with a simple change of political values. Example N.Y.C from 1970 to present.

Please weigh in. Tell us what you know, think or believe.

First hand experience always out weighs a quick Google search and pasting 8 hyperlinks

Try not to insult.

You are exactly correct.  "High Crime" does not correlate with "High Density"

"High Crime" correlates with "Poverty", or more correctly a wealth level that is below the expectations of the population (inner city DC is very wealthy compared to the rest of the world, but in poverty when compared with the wealth expectations of America).

Like Orange i believe poverty and crime rates are linked rather than population density and crime rates.

Lower middle class, Middle class and Rich people seldom do crime as much as poor people, that the poor often live in the same neighbourhood is often created by poverty itself and often poor people live in a higher density populated area because of houseprices and landvalue.
