Well, I got to staff seargant yesterday (which isn't great ^_^ but decent) and I figured I may start trying to be a commander.  Well, I went in single player to get the basics down, but I have a few questions:

1)  If you hit 'V' to talk to a squad, does it only speak to the squad you have selected, or all squads?  I just didn't want to be saying, "Okay, Squad 6, go here..." when I'm only speaking to Squad 6. ^_^

2)  If you right click and choose an option like, "Commend Squad" does only that squad here it?  Or, does everyone here it?

3)  Is being a commander really, really stressful?  I know AI react a LOT different that real players would, but I wasn't doing so hot in single player.  Should I wait until I'm a higher rank (currently staff seargant) to be a commander?  Or, is this a good time to start learning?

Thanks.

If you hit "V" you talk to only the squad leaders of ALL the squads.

Only the squad hears it.

It's stressful sometimes, when you have that one douchebag squad leader who doesn't listen and you end up losing because he could of saved caps on some flags. Go be a commander now, it's the best way to learn. If people try to mutiny you, screw them, you paid for the game too.

the sooner you start commanding and the more practice you get is better.

1) all squads hear it
2) only that squad hears the commendation
3) it can be stressfull... it depends on the squad leaders and members really. the guys i play with know me and trust my decision when i give them an order to attack. and you should start playing asap, its the only way to learn:)

2) You can click on the squads on the left side to choose who you give directions too.  It works just like highlighting files in Windows.  Hold Ctrl and click to select one at a time, or shift to select mulitiples in a row.

3) It's always agood time to start learning, just don't get frustrated when you get a on a server with no teamplayers.  Being commander can be hit or miss.  If your team won't squad up or listen, than just resign and pound the ground.

Just don't be one of those commanders sitting in the only tank or heli on a side, while commanding.
And don't be commander and then not command.  If you don't want the job anymore, resign so someone else can take advantage of the assets.
