After just joining a clan, ([Spec-Ops]), I think it is required, for them anyway, to put a [Spec-Ops] tag in front of your name. Is it possible to do this to your BF2 name, or did they just mean your forum name? (As the [Spec-Ops] clan is a subdivision of E|1337 gaming, your forum name does not necessarily have a clan tag in front of it. I know this is a newby question, but i'm aching to know if it is possible. I see people with clan tags in front of their names often while I play, but is it permanent? Is their username actually "CLANNAMEHERE><NORMALUSERNAMEHERE"?

No, it's not permanent.
When you login into bf2 you'll see Prefix, thats where your clan tag goes.
No in the login menu on bf2 you add your clan name to the "Prefix" section

I think most Spec-Ops dudes just put [Spec] for their in-game tag.
On the sign in screen of the game there is a place labeled "add prefix" you can put anything you want here, clan tags, dirty words, whatever........ and it shows up in game. You can change or delete it whenever you want.

I have one appended to the end of my name to make a unique variant of Skorpychan. It's permanent, but it's also not related to BF2 in any way.
Alot of people here from the forums put [BF2s] infront of their name, i think its pretty cool!
