Are these specs good enough for 2142?

I lag severely whenever I play it, even now with my Radeon X1650PRO that replaced my Radeon 9600 that I played it with before.

I have:

ATi Radeon X1650PRO 256MB GDDR3 (the bus is AGP 2.0 so it only goes up to 4X AGP)
2.2GHz Pentium 4 w/ 512KB cache
2GB PC 2700 (not DDR2 and the mobo doesn't do dual channel, at least not with the current model of BIOS)
120GB Seagate 7200RPM IDE HDD on ATA-100 cables
Asus P4B266LA (It's an OEM motherboard because it's an OEM computer)
Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card

I've always lagged with this game, it's about the same with the new video card on the same settings so I now I lag.....with better graphics rendering, lol. BF2 always lags too although not as bad as 2142. What should be upgraded?

My current crappy comp has pretty much that, with a crappier video card (if the X550's worse, I don't really know much about ATi's past stuff). It runs it on low.

put it on low. I ran it fine on medium 1024x768 with:

6600GT
3800+ x2
1GB ram

test ur system using this www.systemrequirementslab.com it will scan ur system and tell u what u can and cant play .

My System:

AMD Athlon 3800+ @ 2.4 GHZ
2 gig G.E.I.L PC 6400 (800mhz)
Nvidia 7600 GT 256mb GDDR3
K9N n570 force SLI.

With this, I could run on high without AA on 16 to 32 player server, and medium/high without AA on 48/64 player servers. I hope it helps

you should be alright...i have a P4 and CAN (i dont) run 2142 on all high (w/o dynamic light) and get 80+fps. i have stuff turned down and run a capped 100fps always. however, my video card is rather better then that, so if you run all mid/low, i think you should be alright in terms of lag. you can turn down the eye candy for playability i think...
