Uh, no. The reformation was started by Martin Luther. Henry (not sure which one, little help?) just used it as an opportunity to establish a church which he controlled.

I'll never believe in any religion that uses fear as a recruitment tactic (the majority of them). I'd bet a big chunk of all christians only believe in god because they're afraid of Hell..
Maybe in the 10th century Bubbalos comment is relevant. Fear as recruitment? Nobody is forcing you to even believe in it. How can you be afraid of it if you do not even believe it exists? For your bet, it's not as though many people are lining up to go to hell. You could, however, substitute your error with something along the lines of "Many Christians believe to be on the safe side if hell indeed exists." Pwnt?
WTF are you on about? The crux of Catholic belief is that non-believers go to hell. That's the whole point of just about
any religion.

During the second Vatican council the Catholic church said there is true to all religion. Why there are definitely Catholics who think otherwise the mainstream doesn't think people of other faiths will immediately go to hell.
Which is a council which claimed to lack infallibility. The fact is that the point of the Catholic church, as with almost all other religions, is that believers of other faiths go to hell. Otherwise, they'd just join with the other church.
