i turned it off, and i listen to my own music whenever i play bf2 and any other game.

actually go to options, audio and down lower left is 3 bars for sound, slide the middle one all the way to the left = 0% and walla, no more lame ass intro music....

I think if the guy spent a mere 2 minutes he'd find the bloody option himself really heh.
yupp just go to sound ops and turn music off. i even turned off all those movies at the beging. thats a little harder. you have to go to your bf2 folder and rename all the files (not just any name)
What is a good music player to play your music on BF2? (mine dosen't work)
I hate it when ur playing hard, have 50 points or more... then ur cursor comes up, and then its like: dun dun dun or how ever that song starts and then u get reaaaaal mad cuz it disconected you.
is there anyway to replace that music with an MP3? i'd like to hear War Ensamble by Slayer everytime i start up.
i know its the music they play in HELL its soo lame

i have to say i really like the music - quite ambient
Don't forget to click "opt out of voting" while you are in the options menu.......it stops useless vote messages.
I turned the music off - I've got a weak AMD 2000+ processor and a built-in sound card. This slightly helps loading times. I also disabled main menu background videos as with them BF2 sometimes freezes when I try to choose a server. Here's a little tip how to get rid of the annoying starting videos: go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies and rename all the files there. The only one I left is welcome.bik (Welcome to duty!)

Coz back in bf1942 (so cool loading music) I knew were they were located and changed a few to my liking....
I was kinda hoping it would be as easy in BF2 but I can't seem to locate the files... If I could I would just change it to the original BF1942 music......... that music still melts my spine everytime.......

i don't care, my comp loads the files fairly fast, but u don't need to rename the movie files to get rid of em, just delete em. anyway, the intro movies to the games that eagames are putting out these days are all just ingame videos thats been staged. i guess they are too cheap to work on a good movie, like blizzard makes em. too bad aswell, coz eagames could make the best cinematics since they be soo goddamn rich by now lol.
