Ok i just got this game like two hours ago and patched it before playing it! any way This game runs like crap I mean it locks up it freezes it crashes all this happened in the first hour of trying to play it. Is there any way to make preformece to go up a notch i have tried running the game with my x1800 over clocked with out the over clock on low GFX settings on med and high! it still runs like crap I have the  7.1 drivers but the omega ones. My specs are as follows

AMD 3800+ I think its AM2 not sure(not x2 I am getting my uncles old 4400+ in a month or 2)
2GB of ram
ATI X1800XT 256mb
I don't know the other stuff that might be important so just tell me if u need any thing else!

I haven't bought STALKER yet because it still has some issues that need sorted out. I've had my suspicions ever since it was delayed. Plus, my computer can't handle some of the newer games on max detail, and I'm tired of half-assing through them.

It just pisses my off this game do sent look half as good as oblivion and I run Oblivion all on high and 4x AA like what gives omg i am going to return this game tomorrow

Iam getting the same problem with this game even on my qx 6700 I am getting shit 4 FPS and it locks up all the time

Sometimes it really is the software. For example, I was able to run the Gothic III demo just fine, but the graphics became all glitchy when I ran the retail version. Speaking of which, I should check for some patches...

But yeah. I'd advise typing up a simple search for "<insert game title> glitche freeze crash" before you buy a title just to see what you're getting yourself into.

Since this is a help thread DOes any one know how to join a faction?? I cant figure it out! same with well basically the rest of the game
