I might get ArmA today, but I heard mixed reviews about it.

If you want extreme realism that is difficult to get the hang of, get ArmA, but if you want realism at a slightly faster pace, stay with PR. ArmA's alright in my opinion.
depends... If PR is too fast paced and unrealistic for you than try ArmA. If you are annoyed at long respawn times in PR and the fact that its easy to die than ArmA is definitely not for you.
ArmA is plagued by more bugs than BF2 and 2142 combined.
omfg, arma is impossible to play. so many buttons, to lean and stuff and turn you have to use like 2 buttons.
ArmA, PR is nowhere near to the realism ArmA brings. PR is realism for BF2. Arma is realism for (inserts something to compare here)
The buttons are actually easy IMO when you get used to them. It's not really much when you figure it out...
There are many mods for ArmA that adds different skins,vehicles, etc..
You can build your own missions.
The single player campagin is very replayable. When on a mission, there are many outcomes during the duration of the mission.
BIS patches actually do something unlike EA's...
From what I hear the multiplayer is awesome. From the demo I played, there is Capture the Flag, Capture the Island, and a Cooperation game.
The buttons are actually easy IMO when you get used to them. It's not really much when you figure it out...

ArmA makes BF2 1.3 look stable.
I have to say, that I am used to the controls of ArmA right now.
I do have the demo, and it doesn't crash much, so I think it will run pretty smoothly.
Also, I want a game with extreme realism, no matter how boring it gets.

Oh yeah.... there are no PR servers I can join in also. My computer goes dead if I join a server with over 100 pings, and all the servers have more than 100 pings.
A jump from any shooter to ArmA is quite a leap. You will die, a lot. But by and far one of the better gaming experiences I've ever had.
