Could i get some help with Fraps PLz

i downloaded Fraps off the net . it was a demo version , which only gives 3 second videos ! My friend gave a cracked full version to try , now nothing works ! there was a small read me with it that says " if you have the trial version installed that it will not work and you have to reinstall windows (seems a bit drastic to me )

can anyone tell me where to find the fraps in the registery to take out the entries ? will that even help ?

ya i know i shouldnt use pirated software the price of Fraps here is AUD$47 for something im hardly ever going to use !

is there any other programs i could use ?

i want to make a video of Need for Speed Carbon tuning a Chrysler 300C with Autosculpt for a mate at work.

its about the registry from what i remember. the demo version (even when uninstalled) leaves something on the systems registry so it prevents cracked version from working. the only thing you can do now is buy it, or reinstall windows to clear all the registry info. you could try a program like reg cleaner or search for it manually, but that might take awhile... just buy it, its well worth it

You probably didn't install the pirated version correctly. I've gone through hundreds of them before I found the right one!

You're not allowed to link to pirated software on the forums. And yeah, there's a million guides on google for removing fraps registry settings. I found one and managed it quite easily.

Fraps sometimes has problems if you try to use an incorrectly-installed version over one that's been embedded into the Windows registry. I've had the issue copying a legitimate installation of Fraps onto a computer with an older demo, and had to reinstall it.
