The 7950 would work, but it's pretty important that your CPU is generally up to date. The C2D offers so much more than a Pentium D, and you'll see a HUGE difference if you got that.JoshCooper wrote:

If you dont have the money for both the 8800 and the C2D I'd personally get the C2D and then wait for the 8800 when you've got enough money. The 7950 can handle current games pretty well.

My issue is with the ATA 100 HDD you picked. You should get one that is SATA II, for faster loading times, since the mobo you picked out is compatible with it. Plus it's got a 16 MB cache instead of 8MB.
