I'm unconvinced by what's in those reports.

Identical twins associate with one another more closely than fraternal twins, mainly because, since they look the same, people around them tend to always consider them as a duo, it's very difficult for a young identical twin to establish their own individual identity, at least outside of immediate family members.  I'd say that this close association has a lot more to do with the similarities in their political leanings than genetics.  It's possible, of course, I'm not a behavioural biologist, but I've studied psychology, and from what I can gather a huge amount of a persons outlook on like is determined by their upbringing and social conditioning, rather than a genetic disposition towards anything.

The report as linked to seems to be jumping on one possible conclusion without accounting for another, which is pretty junky science.  Explore all the options and I'll take it more seriously.

Well there was, but the point is that the reason there are much more these days isn't because there is a higher overall population therefore a higher chance of being genetically gay/fat. It's because of the other environmental reasons that people simply refuse to accept. That's what i think. Even back then, people who were most likely obese were mostly the famous/rich people who just happened to have slaves and alot of food. Just a coincidence?

yes it appears the useless psychologists who just about passed their tests at university are trying to justify their meaningless existence once again. Unlike those who actually passed properly and actually do help people with mental disorders and the like...

If people want to blame their genes on their inadequacies, that's fine by me. All I'm saying is there's more to it than genes. Everyone always underestimates the environmental factors.
