There have been fat people, gay people, assholes and drug addicts for thousands of years. Just because your education is too incomplete to understand that doesn't erase it from history. A lot of people suffer from these conditions from abuse, mental instability or a life of bad choices, but it's just plain STUPID to say it's all "purely environmental". I'll accept that there are cases where it can be genetic (or not genetic but more of a disorder or disease). But soon enough, you'll get people happily living their lives with their inadequacies (that are usually unfit for society) on the basis that they can't do anything because that's how they are genetically predisposed. Then we'd simply have to take care of them whilst they do nothing to contribute, and when someone does tell them to do something they'll pull the "genetics" card.
Just because there were less humans around a long time ago, doesn't make that the excuse for there being less gays and fatso's around during those times.

Science about opinion seems strange. It's not something easily quantifiable, opinion polls are the only real source of data and I'm willing to bet that they haven't got a decent sized sample group of identical twins who have been brought up in seperate environments, which is what they would need for any such study to be truely meaningful. It also goes against the majority of scientific opinion (that nurture >> nature in determining peoples beliefs).
