dammit, I was playin cnc3 earlier, all was okay (apart from the crashes) but now my dvd drive wont open and it says there is no disc in there, any suggestions how to get it open?

Shut down, re-boot and as it starts to load, hit the button on the drive door.
yes. THere is a little hole on the face of almost every cd/dvd ROM drive. use a straightened paper clip and push the straight paper clip in there. Ti should pop the drive open about 1/2 inch. Pull the drive open carefully.

Stick a paper clip in the tiny hole under the tray, that's the manual release.

try pushin the IDE cable in the back works for me

I didn't think that the paper clip trick needed explaining (sorry I wasn't as specific).
