Whats your opinions on the usage of macro's?

For those of you that dont know macros can do lots of different things. From having a button set to enemy spotted. Also to the extreme of auto Tv missiles.

For me i say if EA doesnt say they are against ROE then people can use them at their free will. But i guess it does take the skill level down

I wanna know how to program 'em. The comm rose stuff is time-consuming in combat, and I could REALLY do with dedicated buttons for my regular usages.
And a few other useful ones for throwing packs around without being defenseless.

The better question is:

Is it fair in a ranked system?

Think about it. If someone's KDR or SPM is boosted with the help of a macro over that upon which they would normally obtain without it, is it fair to those without that same software to be ranked against that aforementioned macro user?

Personally, I've fallen victim to the auto-sniper SVD macro enough to think: "Hmm... I can't do that. Why can they?"

Hell, I bet if you really think about all the macros you can do, there would be some REALLY good ones. (and I mean good, like beneficial for you/less strain on wrists) I mean, I like the idea of auto tv-missiles or how about a macro that switches to cockpit view(without the instruments) right after you get in a jet/heli?

I'm sure there are some good ones. How do you bind them?

when i played raven shield i used a macro for about a week or so untill people complained about getting owned so much they banned the use of macro. i used it for pistol, press = fire and releasen = fire
it was awsome but i think pb bans for that now...

You have to create them in single player mode because it takes some time.You have to set a second key for left and right mouse button, because mouse buttons arent recorded by the macro tool and record it via macro recorder.The keyboard has a recorder button you have to push first.Then you have to select the key for the macro,for example G1, and the simply push the buttons you want to use in your macro.For example you can select a medi kit and throw it and the go automatically back to your favourite weapon just with one click on the G1 key.But you cant get a better accuracy with it.You can make things a lot easier with it and i think anyone is free to buy this keyboard and to use macros as long as they are not ofifcially illegal.

I used a macro for constantly clicking the left mouse button for TV guided missles. I get a lot of null clicks where the missle doesnt respond to clicking somewhere at all

I wouldn't consider making one for the game, not much fun in my opinion.
