If i make my computer to tell me a random number between 1 and infinite(endless number) (if this was an option), would it choose a number, or not?

technically random numbers do not exist on a computer

its true, computers have to be programmed  to do things systematically and so that technically eliminates the random.  what i just said could be crap, im not quite sure

although snipy is probabaly right, you can literally say any positive whole number and that would be correct.

With that range it wouldn't give you a number, computer random number generators have algorithms that have limits to avoid curious people like you .

In fact, it's so true that it cannot give you a number because the range of the number domain is not finite hence the error that it would throw. Same as when you divide any number by 0. Uncertainties is what they're called.

Yup, and even then, the algorithms are just OK. It will never be truly random.

Edit: I think it would choose a number, but it would not be random.
