no matter what I try, how fast I can run.... As soon as I switch to knife it's like there's a big red sign that just went on above my head.... All of a sudden everybody starts killing me almost sooner then I can respawn...
I sneak up behind them and then all of a sudden they turn and BANG! Dead....... When I actually get close enough, I can't hit them. My soldier has the dexterity to balance the blade on his finger by the tip, but when it comes to stabbing someone in front of you, all you hit is air or the wall behind him....
And the crazy thing is, I got my veteran badge when I was not even trying to get it.....
I just now decided I will not go for the badge lest I find I am in a server filled with total nobs...
I do have an idea for a new BF2 badge now: "High Blood Pressure" badge...

Hmm it s not really hard. I think I got expert pistol and knife on my first try too....
Here s how I got both of them:
I was a sniper on Sharqui and always tried to see them before they see me. Sounds easy right? Good positions to knife them are:
- THe western US flag because you can easily get them from behind when they sit there.
- The 2nd US flag. Get them when they are prone trying to get the flag.
- Path from the 1st to the second US flag: Especially on 64player servers there is a lot of close combat going on here and you could try knifing someone who is already in a firefight and doesnt see you.
- The construction site as there are millions of points to get them from behind here.
Dont try to knife someone on the path from the construction site to the TV station its too open and they will see you. Go for areas with many people who are fighting between the houses.
Snipers are also easy kills but there arent many of them.....

Ive been trying for expert knife for about 3 days now. it turns out in 1 game on sunday i was knifing peeps left n right but lost count of my kills. b4 the game ended i went to stab a dude but hit his armor and he killed me. after that i check my stats and it turns out in that game i had 17 fucking kills.....if i would of got that last one the expert badge would be MINE!

I only have my basic knife but I have to admit it was a thrill to get it on Karkland. Best bet is to just find serious melee (usually at that first MEC flag) and run around those narrow corners and passages with it out. I agree with those that say its easier to get than the pistol badge- the knife at close range seems to have a very wide and devastating attack compared to the handgun which you need to aim well and at the head to get an instant kill. Does seem counter-intuitive that a knife would be deadlier than a gun but no one said this was real life...
I got mine on Mashtur. Played as a MEC medic, running around like a loon chasing people, then stabbing them in the back when they ran out of stamina for about 7 or 8 kills, then got the rest hiding in the little hut on the corner at the hill flag when it was under US control, and knifed all the dumb AT/spec ops guys that came to hide there to nuke our tank/jeeps. Granted it was the only flag they had left, so I had a bit of luck there getting a constant stream of victims. A medic came in and got me in the end with shock paddles of all things. Just bung 5 medi packs on the floor so if you do get spotted and shot at, you allready have a plentiful supply of instant heals lying around.
Sharqi is a good bet too, got 10+ kills a few times trying on that map, the only prob with sharqi is the MEC chopper owns everything, so on our server the rounds dont last too long. I know way back in this thread someone said between construction site and tv station is a bad area, but if MEC have the tv station, then you can hide near the hole in the wooden fence near construction site, and just wait for US troops to run through, chase them and stab them in the back.
Never tried for it on Karkand myself, but I can imagine all these guys saying snoop around hotel area would work too, providing the US team isnt smart enough to go capture the MEC mainbase areas first instead of hotel, as that would take most of the battle into that area.

Basically get your timing down and know the map(striking the opponent and know when to make the dash at them), I did it on Karkand since its mostly close quarters. Good Luck. Also everytime a sniper is spotted go get em, watch for the claymores if you see it in time chuck a nade on it and you're gtg.
