Wouldn't it be an interesting factor when high rate/ caliber rounds were fired into relevent materials it would kick up considerable amounts of dust/ smoke?

Just look at any apache gun firing footage, anything it targets gets atomised and alot of dust / smoke gets kicked up.

Just a thought.

It would be cool, but only people with high settings would probably be able to see it, and then it it would just make it harder to see. It would be cool though.

Yeah, it would be cool.

Along with destructible environments, the ability to climb stuff (not just jump and climb ladders), improved physics, jetpacks, invisibility, unlimited ammo, etc.

been there done that, except it was a bunch of people in a pool

would be AWESOME in the game

if you got dumped on the screen should have brown chunky liquid ( or something) flowing down the screen

Try BF2142, it has dust and dirt kicking up when a walker shoots @ ground targets.
Gun smoke covering your cross-hair is a pain. FEAR multiplayer is like that...again it is a pain
