Did it say that somewhere in the game manual? Perhaps on the claymores themselves? That's funny, I didn't know that was a rule in the game.

I'm a decent sniper, it's one of my better classes (not good, I'm still newb), and I always place both claymores where I know the enemies are going to pass by, or on a flag if the server allows it lol. Yeah, you could say I'm a claywhore, but my claymore kills aren't all that high.

Yes. I use them to defend flags. Gets me flag defense points.
If you're hinting at defending your own person, I use my silenced pistol to kill people that try to sneak up on me.

Have you ever seen Oliver Stone's Platoon? The soldiers there don't plant their claymores behind their asses. They point them towards their enemies and just wait for them to run into the trap.

BTW, "denna sida mot fienden" means "this side towards enemy" in Swedish, not "for defense purposes only"

Just do what the fuck you want with claymores. They are a part of the game, an integral part of the sniper kit even, to which their usage was reduced to. It's not cheating, glitching or hacking, so come on.

The thing about claymore spammers is all they can do is lay two and get shot. Bang. Bang. 2-4 kills. Wooo!

But people who can get over that try and use something called a 'gun'. With this 'gun' you can kill a lot more people. you can even resupply the 'gun' and defend yourself a little bit better.

Actual snipers are alright. They find a space and defend it while killing anyone they can see. But claymore spammers on the other hand just die and take a few down with them.

I use them for tactical tactical purposes. Squad coming for a flag and they run into my clay. Next thing that happens is medic drops to revive and now he's dead to. 9 times out of 10 that freezes the rest of the squad (looking for the sniper) at which time I chuck a nade or two and squad is stopped from taking a flag.

Well, don't play IO karkand, and you'll never run into claywhores.

I use them to guard my ass, and i'll drop one if i know someone is going to charge my position, but since I play mostly vehicle maps now, I rarely get many kills with them.

my accuracy is 41%.

Sniping in BF2 is harder than sniping in 2142. In 2142, I have a 59% in Morreitti sniping rifle.

But I do enjoy sniping.
I don't use claymores anymore because too many bitchy people punish me if one of my claymore gets them.
