Should i get an external HDD over a Laptop HDD? I always thought Laptop HDD could be used externally.
both types can be used externally, you just need an enclosure to put them in.Ayumiz wrote:

You can get much mor GB/$ if you buy a normal 3.5in (desktop) HDD and then put it in a caddy rather than buying say a seagate external HDD.
In Australia, caddies go for $40 to $80.
ie.

that goes for $45 in Australia (one of them)
and then you add a HDD into that - say a seagate 320Gig or whatever.

Challenger has an offer for Maxtor 320Gb storage drives, going for $159 for members. Check that out as well.
If you are going to be carrying a portable hard drive to store your games on the go and run using Mojopac, then get the portable 2.5in ones. If you are not going anywhere with it, and just backing data up get the bigger ones.
