ok, when i take off in the chopper, i push the torque up to 100%...i have no idea what im doing in this thing just to let you know.  By common sense, i can tell that i need to push my joystick forward a little bit to level myself out, according to the green line in the middle..at this point, my chopper starts drifting to the right and rolling fast.  ive tried pushing to the left and turning the handle, or even pulling to the right and turning the handle the other way....no matter what, i almost complete a horizontal 360 circle, rolling the chopper into the ground.  I can fly jets no problem...my Air to Air sucks but ive only been playing a little bit...What do i do to be a better aviator?

Re-cal your joystick. Mine does the same, but to the left

I use the joystick for plane only...

for the heli, gotta stay with the keypad...

when I fly the heli with the joystck, it's very sloppy...

Set the gas lever in the middle on the joystick, then fly with the keyboard...

It makes hovering easier.

practice.

You need to increase the deadzone for your stick, which can be done with the application that came with your stick (i.e. Logitech Profiler).

See the problem is you are trying to fly choppers with a joystick. All the pros use mouse and keyboard.

ok, i hear you saying use M and KB but, i really want to use a joystick.  It is calibrated, but the problem is, i have no experience with choppers and no idea of how they move and how to steer them...it is nothing like the jet...at all.  I dont know which way im going if i even push my stick to the left a bit...ya know?  a chart or something would be cool...
